FRIDAY 20TH OCTOBER 2017
DELTA LADIES + THRASH GORDON
THE DELTA LADIES are multi-instrumental duo – Vicky Martin & Diana Stone who perform regularly throughout the UK and France as a duo, trio, or band.
The music, is an energetic mix of originals & cover versions with influences ranging through vintage New Orleans rhythm & blues, Americana, swing and rock & roll, to Bluegrass and American roots music.
The Delta Ladies provide a distinctive brand of music that spans multiple genres seamlessly, and this particular quality is ever-present throughout Refugee. With Vicky Martin on vocals, guitar, kandela, lap-steel and bouzouki, and Diana Stone on vocals, piano and violin, this album provides ample opportunity for them to deliver a masterful collection of tunes.
In terms of technical artistry the pairing doesn’t disappoint and it’s clear to see why the Delta Ladies have achieved several rave reviews for their live show.

The support act for this gig is Bedford's Thrash Gordon (aka Danny Young!) With a sound reminiscent of Jake Bugg, Danny established “Thrash Gordon” as a side project to his band to release songs online that would otherwise go unheard.
A couple of EP’s and a number of live shows followed. Without a band to record or perform with, careful consideration was put in to how the acoustic songs would translate to the live stage.
