FRIDAY 17th November 2017
ciircus street + CHRIS BELSON
Nominated by Alt-Reading as one of the Sounds of 2017, Reading based Ciircus Street are the combined musical ambitions of the fresh faced duo of Jim Crowder and Sam Brett, who together write music to showcase their harmonising and unique vocals with foot-tapping melodies and instrumentals.
Since their formation they have gigged across the country at venues such as the infamous Ronnie Scott’s and Barfly in London, as well as hometown performances at the Are You Listening and Here Comes The Sun festivals respectively. We look forward to the anticipated release of their debut EP this year, and many more well deserved opportunities awaiting the humble duo.
As previous solo artists and friends, Sam and Jim decided to form the band after a series of coincidental events lead the two to attend a concert together in Oxford. On the way to the concert they noticed a street name which they thought would
make a good band name, and after a few drinks the two decided to combine their talents and form Ciircus Street, marking the beginning of their music career as a duo.
As well as numerous gigs, Ciircus Street has also featured on BBC introducing and worked with Oak Sessions to release various
videos and live work.
The full band, including guitarist Mikey Gee, bassist Rory Evans and drummer Stuart Holley, will be releasing their debut EP in early 2017 and continue to gig across the country.
